REPEATER GROUP UPDATE

Well even though we have passed all the vetting stages we are still awaiting clearance by the MoD but on another note we now have changed our name form STRG to WTRG Wears Tees Repeater Group to fall in line with the area we will cover.

Funds have reached the £400 mark and we have had some generous donations from clubs in our region (Houghton Radio Club,  DADARS Durham and District  Amateur Radio Society, Stanley Crook  BARAC Bishop Auckland Radio Amateur Club and New Marske / Cleveland RAYNET Group  )

BREAKOUT BOX

Just a short update for the blog ....

We had a short meet the other day so we could tidy our wires up so to speak and we have now installed a breakout box for HF 2 & 70 with a earth which looks good.

Well the 1st blog just doesn't even cut the mustard when i say we have a repeater well we have 2

This is our 2nd repeater kindly donated by Alistair G4OLK from the New Marske Radio Group and also associated with Cleavland RAYNET, This is the original GB3TS repeater which was originally sited at Eston Nab.

Need the dentist?...Cavities ? well we have plenty here all ready and waiting for a Tune up

Finally i thought i would add the lovely little extra item donated by Ian Blackman G4OCQ, a Zetron Repeater Controller with CTCSS and CWID.

Do i need to repeat myself !

Hi all sorry i have not blogged for a while.... whats been happening i here you ask ... well my friends.

I have been very busy with a new repeater project in the area which i am the treasurer, fund raiser, switch off op and general dogs body ( but only because i want to be)

This venture was a dream i had a long time ago after GB3DC lost its site, leaving South Tyneside a radio black spot.

This is our site we have acquired and we have been busy little bees getting hardware and software to work together.

We have had a Motorola 70cms repeater kindly donated by Crook-Stanley Amateur Radio Club, the owners of GB3CD.
